I can help with issues including but not limited too: stress, anxiety, depression, anger, emotional eating/overeating, body image issues, self-esteem, grief, coping skills, abuse, sleep issues, relationship issues, and trauma.

I am here to help navigate the difficult moments that come up with your parenting journey. I have special training in attachment-based methods and ample experience working with parents. Individual parenting support can help you learn how to manage your child or teen's difficult behavior,  how to communicate with your child or teen so they will listen, how to improve the relationship, how to reduce emotional and behavioral issues, how to discipline effectively, and how to help your child or teen have better emotional regulation, better coping in times of stress, greater academic success, and more effective social interactions.

Family Therapy

Family therapy can provide a safe place for family members to improve communication and facilitate healing and healthy attachment.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE

Trauma

Experiencing extraordinarily stressful events can greatly impact a person's well being and leave a lasting negative effect. I have training in EMDR for both children, teens, and adults, which is an evidence-based treatment for trauma.

Anxiety and Depression

Anxiety (worry, overthinking, easily overwhelmed) and Depression (low mood, irritable, lack of motivation) can be very difficult to live with and are very treatable. I am trained in multiple methods to address anxiety and depression concerns and have a great deal of experience in this area.

Emotional Dysregulation

Having big reactions, feeling things very intensely, and getting easily overwhelmed can be very distressing. I am familiar with many techniques that can help calm the storm of your emotions so you can sail on smooth seas again.

Attachment

Attachment in the emotional bond we have with another person. It is important for children to develop a secure attachment with one primary caregiver in their early years for optimal social and emotional development. If you did not have a secure attachment, or lost a secure attachment, it can effect your life in many ways including difficulties in your current relationships or parenting difficulties. I can help you develop secure healthy attachments with the significant people in your life now.

Children and Adolescents

I became a psychologist because I was passionate about working with children and teens. I have specialized training and experience working with those in this age group.
